Rome wasn’t built in a day, or so I’ve heard. Federated identity management standards are almost as ambitious a project, so it stands to reason that the Liberty Alliance is taking on one chunk of the problem at a time. The good news is that several vendors are already supporting the brand-new Phase 2 standards. The bad news is that IBM and Microsoft are still holding out – and if they don’t join forces with the Liberty Alliance soon, things could get ugly. Boeing signs more airlines for in-flight Internet

Japan Airlines System and The Boeing Co. Wednesday signed a deal in Tokyo to install the latter’s Connexion by Boeing in-flight Internet system into some JAL aircraft from 2004. The deal came a day after Singapore Airlines signed a letter of intent with Boeing to install the system.
