Comcast cutting off spam zombies

By all accounts, it’s Night of the Living Spammers over at Comcast. The ISP’s customers have high-speed connections without, necessarily, a whole lot of Internet security savvy. This makes their machines prime targets for spammers, who like to turn their machines into spamming zombies. This week, Comcast fights back.

IBM buys partner to boost WebSphere line

IBM Tuesday announced plans to purchase one of its business partners, Trigo Technologies, to add product information management capabilities to its WebSphere middleware line. Trigo makes Product Center, a technology used by customers, including Staples and Albertsons, to create a centralized repository of product information, with change-management and publishing functionality.
