The buddy-buddy collaboration between IBM and Cisco continues this week, as the two companies announced plans to do more together in the area of data center products, such as blade servers. Cisco is finishing up a Gigabit Ethernet switching module for IBM’s eServer BladeCenter server chassis, and the two hinted that more is on the way. DaimlerChrysler responds to SCO lawsuit

Automaker DaimlerChrysler earlier this month told The SCO Group to just drop it – drop its lawsuit against the company because there’s nothing to sue about. Now it’s asking the court to drop it for SCO. As one observer (albeit biased) speculated, SCO wouldn’t willingly abandon any of its lawsuits, and may not even wish to complete one.

Nortel delays results as it fires top executive

Nortel Wednesday said it has fired its president and CEO, replacing Frank Dunn with William Owens, and has also delayed the release of its financial results for the first quarter of the year.
