So many conferences going on this week it’s hard to keep them straight. Microsoft is spewing news out of its Tech Ed conference in San Diego, such as its entire roadmap for identity management. It’s also shifting away from the “Kodiak” codename – startling news for all those Microsoft codename-watchers in the world (and you know who you are), but there’s a good reason behind the move. CA goes after patch management

Meanwhile, Computer Associates is using its Las Vegas show, CA World, to pump out patch management strategies and a product for managing wireless LANs. And today I’ll be in New York to check out the CeBit America show; I’ll be sure to let you know if anything good happens there.
