Computer theft at legal services firm creates data loss for State Street Bank

State Street Bank announced today that computers stolen from a legal services vendor contained data on employees and customers of IBT, Investors Bank & Trust Company, that State Street acquired last year.

They have begun the notification process and are making identity theft protection services available to those impacted by the data theft.
