Cell phones are getting so small these days, you have to frisk yourself to remember where you stashed it. Also, if you jam it in your tight Calvins, you can destroy it.

Maybe that’s why vendor Jablotron is going in the opposite direction, creating the world’s largest mobile phone, the GDP-02 “Grand” (above, click to enlarge). Boy, howdy, is it.

The Grand is like a standard desk phone with a QWERTY keyboard and display for banging out text messages. If you look at the spec sheet (PDF) it’s obviously geared toward old coots who like to text message and lug around giant pieces of equipment.

We will say this, you’ll never mistakenly put it through the wash.
