“Cyber-seducers take heed!” cries Clearswift. Valentine’s Day is nigh and that means it’s high time for naughty spam and racy legit e-mail, alike. Yowza!

The security vendor says “The days running up to and including February 14th have been highlighted as a time during which employees are at a greater risk of getting into hot water over their email usage.”

Clearswift cites a recent case in which one employer fired a worker over “sending explicit e-mails to her lover at work.” The security experts say that spammers advantage of the holiday, as well:

“Socially engineered ‘Valentine spam’, designed to take advantage of unsuspecting lonely hearts, could waste time and disrupt IT infrastructure.”

Aw, that’s sad.

Bottom line, save your TV-MA material for your date or snail mail. Or, open up that monitoring software and enjoy the show.
