The company is releasing a new cell phone equipped with a motion-control sensor, which lets you answer calls, scroll thru menus and perform other tasks by waving it around.
“Just jerk your cell phone in the air in a variety of patterns made of up of two simple moves – combining left, right or top, down movements – to program your phone in nine different ways to scroll or jump to e-mail or other features,” writes The AP.
Yes, that sounds much easier than simply opening the handset or pressing “Talk.” We can barely navigate our phone as-is using first-grade English and clearly marked buttons.
And just when we thought mobile phones couldn’t get more annoying, this unnamed jerky handset can also doubles as a musical instrument: “First select your favorite sound from a menu that includes clapping, tambourine, maracas, a whistle blow, yelps and other noises.”
Let’s keep this one in Japan.
