If you’re a Googler, chances are you’re a Democrat.
The Center for Responsive Politics has tracked high-tech company campaign contributions and found that of the money donated by Google employees, 98% went to Democrats.
Google workers donated $207,650 to federal candidates in last year’s elections. While Google had the highest percentage of donations to one party, Microsoft’s political action committee was the biggest donor overall, chipping in $3.1 million last year, 60% of which went to Dems.
Overall, USA Today reports that 53% of high-tech industry contributions went to Democrats.
