Yesterday we set you wise to the boring Producer’s Blog of Oscar ringleader Gil Cates. Today, we’ve got more Oscar pseudo-news with a technology bent.

Audible.com says it’ll be have all the winners’ backstage speeches online and available for free download by 3 a.m. EST Monday.

Why would anyone care? You know it’s a dubious feature when the press release actually asks that question.

“Why does that matter? Well, when you get up on Monday morning, go to audible.com/backstage, download all the speeches onto your iPod, listen during your commute, and go into work all like, ‘Well, after she won, she said…’ and when your friends are like, ‘How did you know?’ You’ll be like, ‘Oh, I was there.’ “

We’re pretty sure no one’s ever gonna think we were at the Oscars.
