This week NW did a nifty feature story on Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, the nation’s premier technical high school for math and science whiz kids.
Located in Alexandria, Virginia, this school’s got a computer lab most of us would kill for: 40 workstations, one Pentium cluster, one MIPS cluster, 10 Intel-based servers, a Sun server, a Cray supercomputer and a Cisco Catalyst 4006 with several blades. Then there’s the students’ home nets, like one girl who has six computers in her bedroom. What, no Cray?
