Apparently everything is copasetic with the Hilton Hotel chain. So much so, the company has nothing more pressing to address than the problem of crap clocks in their rooms. You know, the ones you set for a wake-up alarm, but you’re so convinced it won’t go off you don’t sleep a wink. Or those that wake you up at 5:15 a.m. blaring half-static, half-local-Spanish-station because the room’s previous occupant forgot to turn it off.
The lodging behemoth says it’ll be installing 250,000 “high-tech clocks” in 975 hotels across six of its brands from March through July.
What makes the clock high tech? It comes “with a patented, easy-to-set alarm and station presets. It also has built-in stereo speakers and a jack to connect an MP3 or CD player.”
