The film’s director, Francis Ford Coppola, is unhappy, too, and wants it known he had nothing to do with the game, which is slated for release this fall.
“I knew nothing about it. They never asked me if I thought it was a good idea,” he told The New York Post. “I had absolutely nothing to do with the game and I disapprove. I think it’s a misuse of film.”
Coppola said cinemaphiles should direct their ire toward Paramount Pictures, which owns the rights to the movie and licensed the use to video game giant EA.
