Riding the NYC subway system has always been a little dicey, and now L line riders are in for more excitement as, well, no one’s driving the train. Just like Disney MGM Studio’s Tower of Terror, a computer is controlling the L line. (Ed. – Nice analogy.)
The city has spent $250 million over the past 15 years converting the L line to a computer-operated, conductorless system. Proponents say a computer-operated line will reduce congestion and delays as it cruises at preordained speeds and stops automatically at stations.
