Using cell phones to cheat on exams isn’t just a New York thing, it turns out the problem exists in the Mother Country, too.
The BBC reports that 286 high school and college students were disqualified from their exams last summer due to mobile malfeasance. The number represents a 15% rise from 2003.
“The simple message is ‘Don’t cheat’,” said a spokesman for the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, described as “the English exams watchdog.” “If students cheat, they will be punished.”
