If you think your job stinks, be thankful you’re not in the Verizon PR department this week.

We’re guessing it’s less-than-fun as the flacks try to furiously spin CEO Ivan Seidenberg’s comments from an interview last weekend with the San Francisco Chronicle.

“Why in the world would you think your (cell) phone would work in your house?” Seidenberg said. “The customer has come to expect so much. They want it to work in the elevator; they want it to work in the basement.”

Oh, man, this is Ken “There is no reason for any individual to have a computer in his home” Olsen bad.

We can’t wait to see how they wriggle out of this one.
