Google has announced a scary new service, My Search History, now in beta.
Google says My Search History will provide better searches for users as it tracks every search a user conducts when signed on to the service. According to Reuters: “They [users] also have the option to disable the service or remove particular searches from their history.”
Users’ entire search histories will be housed on Google servers. If we had an animated gif of a police siren, this is where we’d put it. Keeping that information on their servers is a convenience so users can access My Search History wherever they log on, the company says.
Google’s tagline for the service: “Remember what you saw on Google, no matter where you are.”
Sounds more like: “Google remembers what you saw, no matter where you are.
