Last December we told you about the Michigan family who was fighting Yahoo over their slain son’s e-mail account.
Twenty-year-old Lance Cpl. Justin M. Ellsworth was killed last November in Iraq. His family wanted access to his Yahoo account to recover his messages to them. Yahoo denied their request, saying it was protecting the privacy of its members, and both parties headed to court.
The AP reports Yahoo finally conceded and handed over a disc containing 10,000 pages of material. The only problem? The CD contained only e-mail Ellsworth received and none of the messages he sent.
Oops, says Yahoo, which pledged to help the Ellsworths find all of their son’s messages.
