Monitoring company Envisional has released its list of the most popular and least popular brands online.
The five most popular brands (in descending order): eBay, HP, Dell, Mini and UPS. The five least popular: McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Wal-Mart, Nestle and Unilever.
Now we know you’re thinking: Where’s Microsoft? Redmond just missed the top 5 least popular brands, coming in at #6. It was, however, the most prominent brand online, followed by Google, Yahoo, Sony and HP.
Envisional calculated the brands’ popularity (or lack thereof) via a system that scored each brand according to the negative and positive references found on the Internet.
