If you’ve been wondering what Carly Fiorina’s been up to these days it seems she’s dabbling in public speaking and revisionist history.
The Register reports Fiorina is up for grabs as a client of the Washington Speakers Bureau, “knocking the likes of former FCC Chairman Michael Powell and former Secretary of State Colin Powell from the ‘spotlight’ position on the company’s Web site.”
States the WSB’s site: “In this dynamic presentation, Carly Fiorina, former Chairman and CEO of Hewlett-Packard, uses her personal experiences to share with audiences the three essential elements that espouse her vision of leadership – Character, Capability and Collaboration.” Crap!
Wait, wait – it gets better. Under the “About Carly Fiorina” section, it says: “At HP, she led the successful acquisition and integration of Compaq, completing the largest high-tech merger in history.”
Oh, c’mon. If it were so successful, why did our gal get the boot?
The Reg reports that like many a high-priced gadget on Amazon.com, Fiorina’s cost per chat isn’t listed, but rather “please call for price.” However, the paper estimates she’s in the $40,000 per speech range.
