AOL insults bloggers

Opinion

Why is AOL losing subscribers? Maybe because of features like this.

First it promotes that goofy Arianna Huffington Web site, then it insults all us Joe Keyboard bloggers: “For the most part, blogging belongs to the underground: obscure writers who opine on everything from cover stories to the selection of the pope.” Obscure? (Ed. – If the adjective fits…)

AOL says Huffington’s site boasts “brand-name bloggers” like Gary Hart, Jerry Brown and Rob Reiner. Brand name? Sure, if you’re over 55. We’d hate to see the C Listers. Actually we’d love to see the C Listers. How about Jaye P. Morgan, Captain & Tenille and Bernie Kopell?
