We all know AOL’s losing subscribers and they’re frantically tossing out idea after idea to make up the lost coin.
How do you think the latest brainstorming session at AOL HQ went?
“So we need to make more money.”
“Right.”
“We need to do something different, something new, something fresh…”
“Right.”
“I got it – what about offering free e-mail accounts? And we can give them tons of storage space, like 2G!”
“Great! No one’s ever done that before.”
Is Reston, Virginia, stuck in some kind of time warp where it’s still 1999? Gah.
