Prius in a bunker
Good news as we approach the summer driving season: While gas prices will continue to suck, your Bluetooth-enabled car is pretty much immune to viruses. Your chances of getting hit by lightning and bird turd simultaneously are better than getting a virus. Rumors have been circulating around the ‘Net that the Lexus Landcruiser LX470 was vulnerable to the Cabir Bluetooth worm. But the folks at F-Secure have put the fears to rest after taking a Toyota Prius equipped with Bluetooth into an underground bunker for a round of testing. The lab guys used an infected phone and tried to get the virus to infect the car, but to no avail. We’re jealous that we don’t have an underground bunker to test thing here at the Layer 8 World Headquarters.
