House hunting made easy

We love ingenious application developers. The guy behind housingmaps.com has combined Google Maps with house listings – both for sale and rent – from Craigslist to create a new way to look for houses. Select the city and price range you’re looking to pay and you’ll get Google Map showing all the locations as well as a text listing. Highlight the location and you’ll get a pop-up synopsis with thumbnail images. The only downside is you’re limited to the 33 cities served by Craigslist. It’s another example that makes us ask, “What did people do before the Web?”
