Map your workout with Google Maps

One enterprising runner has hacked the ever-nifty Google Maps to produce Gmaps Pedometer, which lets you map a walking or running route and calculate the distance.

It’s pretty easy – you use Google Maps to zoom into your workout area then double click to mark your route. Gmaps Pedometer calculates the miles and/or kilometers.

You probably already know your current mileage route, but it can be very handy to calculate new routes or those when you’re on the road.
