On Friday, the ubiquitous coffee chain announced it “lost track of” four laptops containing personal info of 60,000 current and former employees. “Lost track of?” That sounds very much the same as “lost” to us.
According to the AP, “The company waited several weeks to disclose it had lost the laptops because ‘we wanted to make sure we were thorough before we notified people,’ ” said spokesman Valerie O’Neil.
How considerate.
