Apple to annoy retail customers this holiday season

Apple is prepping for a Black Friday blowout by installing a software assistant called “Rhonda” on all display models in their retail stores.

It better not take the form of an annoying paperclip.

“Customers will be able to click on a portion of screen to summons help from an authorized Apple sales person on the retail store floor. The Rhonda software will illuminate the Mac’s display screen in bright green, attracting the attention of the nearest Mac specialist who will then greet the shopper,” notes Apple Insider.

Here’s hoping it also plays “Help me Rhonda, help, help me Rhonda” on infinite loop to drive the Croc-wearing sales geeks insane.
