Nintendo’s Wii is already a pretty big hit, thanks to the company’s decision not to create a false supply shortage (see Sony, Microsoft) in its initial release. The Wall Street Journal also reports that the Wii’s motion-controller sensors/joysticks are causing aches, pains and collisions between players as they flail around pretend bowling, shooting baskets or whathaveyou. “I was using muscles I hadn’t used in a while,” says Wii owner Jeremy Scherer, a computer programmer who describes himself as “not very active.” The last bit’s somewhat redundant.
