AOL has released the Duh Poll of the Week, noting the groundbreaking finding that teens use instant messaging more than old farts who can’t even retrieve voice mail off their cell phones. To drive home the point, the AP quotes low-hanging fruit, a 17-year-old high school senior and a 51-year-old mechanic. Not surprisingly, Steve Wilson isn’t an IM fan, noting: “It manages to combine all the things I don’t like about [e-mail and the telephone]. I’m more or less a dinosaur. I use the Internet for things like buying car parts, reading celebrity gossip.” Well, we give him points for the celebrity gossip.
