Earlier this week, I was looking for clips of a vicious hit in an NFL game from the weekend. I used a new service called Blinkx that indexes popular television content and allows the public to search it for free at www.blinkx.tv. Right now, the company is indexing 22 channels of material, including BBC, Bloomberg, Fox News and ESPN. I found the clip I was looking for and the free preview (the actual clip was part of a subscription from ESPN) allowed me to see just the piece I was looking for. Check it out.
