Network World is making a big leap in to multimedia with a whole new video initiative that kicks off with two weekly shows: Network World’s Hot Seat with John Gallant and Cool Tools with Keith Shaw. Hot Seat features vendor executives, analysts, users and industry stars giving concise answers to pointed questions. Each show last roughly 5 minutes and are not scripted – essentially a casual conversation about what’s going on in the industry. Cool Tools is what the title implies – fun stuff for the home and office presented in an entertaining manner. As Keith says, “We test stuff so you don’t have to.” To whet your appetite, the video library has three programs for each series. Going forward, we’ll be releasing a new Hot Seat each Monday and a new Cool Tools on Thursdays. And we’re planning more shows for the near future, so stay tuned! If you’ve got a suggestion, comment or idea, drop me a line at jmeserve@nww.com – we love to hear from our readers and viewers.
