Vonexus’s Enterprise Interaction Center (EIC) is a Window-based IP-PBX that integrates with Microsoft’s Outlook and Exchange messaging mechanisms into what Miercom test engineer and Network World Lab Alliance member Anthony Mosco summarizes as a complete call center inside a softphone application (see product sleeper story here).
Mosco did not expect much from the Vonexus product before testing it, but once he put it through its paces in Miercom’s New Jersey labs, he was impressed by the company’s SIP-based softphone application that taps into its Windows-based VoIP back end so that administrators can set permissions that take advantage of its sophisticated in-queue and routing features.
This week’s featured Network World IT Buyer’s Guide hones in on this IP-PBX space, and gives registered users access to a customizable view of how other Windows- and Linux-based VoIP back-end systems stack up against the Vonexus offering.
