Symantec makes a purchase, adds a patch

Symantec Monday announced it purchased SafeWeb for $26 million in cash. The purchase will add a well-regarded Secure Sockets Layer VPN product to Symantec’s stable of network security and management tools. The company also kept busy on Monday by adding patch management to its Ghost computer cloning and restoration product.
