Cisco has released a mini broadband router aimed at entry-level and greenfield cable TV operators, and designed for Cable Modem Termination Systems. The uBR7225VXR is part of the 71xx/72xx family of edge routers and each device supports up to 5,000 subscribers.
Support for CableLabs’ Docsis 3.0 allows for bandwidth flexibility, reports EE Times.
