Dubious cell phone advance, Part 2

One again, proof that all the cool mobile phone advances debut in Japan long before they reach our shores.

A company called Omnicl debuted “Keitai Vyuun!” at the Tokyo Gift Show 2005 last week. That translates to “Mobile Phone Zoom!” and is a $3 set of toy-car wheels you tape to the bottom of your phone to truly make it, um, mobile. For around $5 you get the wheels and one of those cool “engines” in which you pull the mobile mobile back, then let it go and it scoots across the floor.

Mobile Phone Zoom is not available yet, but we’re pretty sure any of us could fashion one now if we were so inclined.

Pics of said coolness are here.
