Cisco’s outspoken blogger John Earnhardt is a little happier now that, unlike PC World, Wired magazine is listing Cisco on its Web honors list. Cisco is eighth in The Wired 40, the top 40 most innovative companies in the World. Even though Cisco’s ranking is better than last year’s No. 12 position, Earnhardt writes: “While I may disagree of course, with the fact that we are not #1 … not everybody can be the #1 on every list.” Google is No. 1 most innovative company in the world, according to Wired.
