Vista Migration Step 3: Extend a lifeline to endusers

In my previous posts here, here and here, I outlined Stages 1-2 in my Vista migration plan.

For Step 3, the idea in simple, as evidenced by this article.

Extend a lifeline to endusers

One easily forgotten step in solution-provider-implemented migrations is the fact that endusers are the actual users of the installed software. This leads to the in-house IT staff being the only point of contact for issues with the new software.

For all Windows Vista™ installs done so far, Logikworx established a direct telephone line in addition to an email box as well for Windows Vista issue resolution, with a guarantee of a 4-hour in-person response for problems requiring a site visit. Please note that this in-person service is free, as proof of our faith in the stability of Windows Vista™.

I am glad to report that so far, no one has taken us up on our offer we have not had a client issue that has required a site visit.
