Version 5.10 of Ubuntu, a well respected Linux distro based on Debian, has just been released.

5.10 includes “deeply-integrated thin client technology” which allows you to deploy Ubuntu in large scale networked environments; OEM Installer Support which allows Ubuntu to be pre-installed and tested without configuring end user information other than name, timezone and password; and Launchpad Integration a “new infrastructure that Ubuntu and its derivatives use for translation, bug tracking, sharing code patches, fixes and technical support.”

This release also includes Edubuntu, a version of Ubuntu that is specially focused on the needs of schools and Ubuntu for Servers, “a CD installer specifically optimised for server installation.”
