For those fond of the old scratch-and-sniff stickers that were all the rage in ’80s, NTT’s newest product might be for you. The company has developed a system that allows mobile phone users to send scents to an in-house unit that wafts the gift into the air. Now, don’t think you can send some bodily gas smell – the system is limited to a certain number of fragrances.
At $195 for the unit – plus the cost of refill cartridges – one could probably send real flowers a number of times rather than a chemically-induced scent to their loved ones.
