According to a new report/poll by IDC Research services, 63 percent of the CIOs polled will implement IP Telephony in the next year. Fair enough, they continue:
access to advanced telephony applications, improved management of distributed operations, and reduced costs.
There goes those advanced telephony applications again. Thank god we are pass the toll bypass and adds moves and changes argument. They really didn’t hold true anyway. The reason you would want to move to an IP PBX is because you can implement event alerting and notification, quality assurance and compliance or unified communications systems. IP PBXs give access to these capabilities from companies like Genesys, Aspect, Cistera and Interactive Intelligence among other enterprise application vendors.
