USA Today reports that schools are seeing a drop in computer science majors, with students citing a soft job market and increased offshoring as reasons for avoiding the major.

Printeth the paper: “IBM and other tech companies worry that there soon won’t be enough skilled U.S. workers to meet demand.” Oh, come on, we call *&^^%$#*. There are plenty of IT professionals still looking for good jobs after the great layoffs of 2000+, yet that hasn’t stopped you from casting your eyes to the horizon for less-expensive talent.
