Britain offers free iPods to unemployed teens

There are many reasons why we love England: crisps, football and beer to name a few. Now there’s another reason, as if we needed one: The Mother Country is offering free iPods to unemployed teens.

Students 16-18 who sign up for the “Step Up for Summer” course at Bournemouth and Pool College will get an iPod when they complete the 14-week course. Organizers hope it will attract “disaffected” youth to a course that will give them life skills and help them find a job. Critics say it’s bribery.
