
Patients range in age from 14 to 24 and have dropped out of school, lost jobs or gone days without sleep as a consequence of their addiction. They’re treated with a combination of electro-shock therapy, acupuncture, unspecified medication and group therapy to treat their illness.
“It’s been good to sleep,” notes one 17-year-old patient.
The country, which heavily regulates Internet content for its citizens, has the second-highest online population at 94 million – behind the U.S.
