A Florida man has been arrested for stealing Wi-Fi.
Richard Dinon noticed 41-year-old Benjamin Smith III of St. Petersburg sitting in an SUV outside Dinon’s home using a laptop. Smith was arrested and charged with unauthorized access to a computer network, a third-degree felony. He faces a pre-trial hearing this month.
Police say Smith admitted stealing Dinon’s signal, but it’s unclear what he was up to.
