The teen who created the Sasser worm that last year slowed the Internet to a crawl has been convicted by a German court.
Sven Jaschan, 19, was found guilty of computer sabotage and illegally altering data and received – get this – a suspended sentence of 21 months. Now don’t get mad, he’s not getting off scott-free. The AP reports Jaschan “must perform 30 hours of community service at a hospital or home for the elderly, but will not have to pay court costs.”
Yeah, that’ll teach him. Way to strike fear in the hearts of hackers, Deutschland.
