PBS is catering to the geek set with its new downloadable, copyright-free series, “NerdTV.”
The 13 one-hour shows will be hosted by PBS uber-nerd Robert Cringely and will be made available weekly beginning Sept. 6. All episodes will remain archived at https://www.pbs.org/nerdtv and will be distributed under the Creative Commons license, which means you can downloand and share them at will without fear of a lawsuit from Ernie and Bert’s lawyers.
Guests on the first episode will be PayPal co-founder Max Levchin, original Mac programmer Andy Hertzfeld, and Sun co-founder and the father of Berkeley Unix, Bill Joy.
Holy smokes, that *is* nerdy.
