At Microsoft, it’s not all Vista-this and Active Directory-that.
No, Redmond remains diligent in investing in R&D, the technologies of tomorrow and, of course, phone sex and dial-a-psychic lines.
The San Francisco Chronicle looks into the unorthodox funding of Ingenio, a San Francisco company that boasts a host of dial-a-_______ services and is funded in part by Microsoft and eBay.
The Chron’s David Lazarus says Ingenio boasts several legit pay-per-call advice lines, but also offers services like NiteFlirt, “an online mall at which customers can choose from among hundreds of purveyors of pay-per-minute phone sex,” and Keen “a dial-a-psychic site that links the spiritually needy with assorted pay-per-minute clairvoyants, pet psychics, astrologers and people claiming a pipeline to ‘voices from beyond.’ “
OK, this is already way more fun and interesting than Vista.
