Time to pack your tin hat when you travel as the State Department says it has finalized “logistical and technological” details for RFID-enabled U.S. passports.
The feds say the chip will make passports “virtually impossible” to forge and will speed border entry “for most travelers.”
According to USA Today: “If current plans hold, they’ll become standard issue for U.S. travelers as soon as February.”
“If current plans hold?” Are the feds taking lessons from Microsoft developers on release dates? In the Good News Department, Monad will not be included in the new passports.
