Man relies on gaming skills to outrun cops

Playing video games can improve your hand-eye coordination and puzzle solving skills, but beyond that real-world benefits run slim. Just because you can toss a 88-yard TD bomb into double coverage in Madden 2006 doesn’t mean you can launch one in real life.

Ask 33-year-old Tyrone D. McMillian of Troy, N.Y., who relied on his gaming skills last week when he tried – unsuccessfully – to outrun cops in a Ford Explorer.

“I was crazy. I’ve been playing a lot of ‘Grand Theft Auto’ and ‘NASCAR’ on PlayStation,” McMillian allegedly told police. “I thought I could get away.”

McMillian’s crappy game play now has him facing a slew of charges this morning in court.
