Interesting post over on Blogcritics that disputes a Harvard study that claims the low price and prevelenance of beer and liquor stores near campus lead to binge drinking among college students. The author claims price is nearly irrelevant and that a college kid going out to get drunk will get drunk. We particularly like the reference to student loan overage being used to party.
All this talk of college drinking brings us back to our days in Boston where you’d drink whatever until the money ran low, then switch over to the $1.75 Brubakers to be more, um, economical.
